Jesús Colmenárez – oboe

Jesús Colmenárez, born in the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela), began his studies as an oboist at the age of six in “El Sistema”. During his career, he has performed nationally and internationally as a solo oboist and made his debut on stages under the baton of conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel, and others.

In recent years, Jesús has continued his training in Germany, studying at the Lübeck University of Music with Professor Diethelm Jonas and receiving a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) from 2017 to 2022.

Jesús has created and participated in various projects for the development and learning of young musicians in several Latin American countries, including the creation of the “Young Oboist Festival” in Venezuela, his participation in the “Orquesta Joven Recanto Maestro” in Brazil, among others.
