Jacobo Loza Díaz – horn
Jacobo Loza Díaz embarked on his musical journey at the prestigious Reina Sofía School of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned mentors such as Radovan Vlatkovich and Rodolfo Epelde. Seeking further refinement, Jacobo pursued a Master of Arts at The Royal Academy of Music in London, where he had the privilege of studying with distinguished figures like Richard Watkins, Martin Owen, and Michael Thompson.
Throughout his musical education, Jacobo had the opportunity to under the guidance of Dale Clevenger, Frøydis Ree Wekre, Markus Maskuniitty, and many others.
As a freelance musician, he has collaborated as Principal Horn with orchestras such as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Basque Symphony Orchestra, and the Ensemble Sonido Extremo, among others. He worked under the baton of distinguished conductors including Juanjo Mena, Sir Mark Elder, and Christoph-Mathias Muller.
In addition to his orchestral engagements, Jacobo has been a featured artist at various music festivals, including Musika Música, Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, and the Festival de Ópera de A Coruña. His participation in festivals such as the Festival de Música y Danza de Granada and Young Euro Classic further underscores his commitment to musical excellence and his desire to engage with diverse audiences.
